About Us

Electronic Metrology Laboratory, LLC has provided the telecommunications industry with calibration services for over 20 years.

EML provides calibration services for electronic, physical, and dimensional test and measuring equipment that are traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and are ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited

“When we started out, the cellular industry was just beginning to grab a foothold,” said Scott Barlow, CEO at EML. “In the late 1990s, our focus was on the paging and two-way industries. Over the years, we’ve diversified, and we’re proud to support many cellular and wireless companies with calibration.”

EML specializes in:

  • Electronic Calibration – from handheld DMMs and oscilloscopes to 26.5 GHz spectrum analyzers and signal sources.
  • Mechanical Calibration – physical and dimensional calibration services are traceable to the NIST and can provide 17025 accredited calibrations.
  • On-Site Calibration – mobile calibration laboratories are environmentally controlled and fully equipped with the same state-of-the-art equipment found at EML’s main laboratory.

According to Jason Powell, VP of Sales at Marketing, EML has always had a great rapport within the communications industry and much of that has come from continuously evolving right along with it. At EML, much effort has been put into testing, implementing quality systems, and providing on-site capabilities over the years, servicing independent tower operators and major carriers nationwide.

“To keep up with technology and to evolve as the industry we serve moves forward, we’ve continuously invested in new equipment, systems, and processes. Our goal is to be more efficient and save our customers time and money,” added Powell.

EML tailors its operations based on customer feedback to make the experience seamless. “We provide on-site calibration to clients to bring fast and convenient service nationwide. This is an efficient method for our clients to get equipment calibrated quickly and minimize downtime. If there are any issues, we can fix devices right on-site in our mobile laboratory,” said Jeff Goble, EML Calibration Lab Manager.

EML also provides access to an online asset management platform. The system stores client assets, calibration date, and expiration dates, plus sends out notifications of upcoming calibration requirements. “The web tool is especially useful for field service managers or owners to review all assets and make sure equipment is calibrated. We provides access to this information 24/7,” noted Goble.
